Cancelled church last weekend because of the weather - this weekend we have a potluck and society meeting. (Never been to a society meeting before...)
Had a great day yesterday. Visited with a lady in the hospital that is in the last stage of cancer treatment. Some doctors give her a good diagnosis, some don't - anyway she's not in the hospital because of her cancer. Her and her husband were recently in a car accident and she got pretty banged up.
It's incredible - she's really uncertain about the future - believing that God will heal her from cancer - but waiting for Him... and then also in pain from the treatments, and now this accident. Since being in Avonlea and starting as a pastor - I have been amazed by her faith and strength. She still laughs a lot, cries sometimes, is really concerned and interested in my life. They'll have a real challenge ahead of them - but she knows she's not alone.
Some Christians are incredible.
