Went to the Calgary Zoo today. It was a good time. Although there is quite a bit of snow outside - the temperature was mild and the sun was shining. I was surprised at the number of animals outside that I hadn't considered 'cold weather' beasts. A third of the zoo is indoors as well so there was a lot to see.

We were able to see a number of the 'cool' animals - hippos, elephants, giraffes, kangaroos, large snakes, and so on... another highlight was the atrium that held a number of different butterfly species.

A big highlight for the boys was touring around with their grandpa ross and grandma laura fromSaskatoon.
