Music
Haven't been listening to too much music in the last year... I sorta had my own reasons, but it was weird - I'm the kind of guy that gets into music.
However, lately - I've been getting back into personal listening. I'm loving:
* anything Hawaiian (the soundtrack to Lilo and Stitch is hot - I also have been groovin with Israel Kamakawiwo'ole - the samoan beats have me moving),
* old disco,
* coldplay (they have a sentiment in their music that really grabs me - they sing a lot about home... which has been a feeling of nostalgia I've been coming back to - although I feel for a home I've never visited)
* also sampling a little U2 and Sting which isn't bad - but it feels like when I was a kid and I'd borrow my sisters tapes or something... it's just not really my music, although I can dig it
* Matt Redman and the Soul Survivor Crew - including Tim Hughes, Neil Wilson - and some of those other UK guys like Paul Oakley and even the ever Texas Chris Tomlin.
* Jack Johnson is cool (and I mean all around cool - making movies, music, cutting waves...)
It's nice to be grooving again
