I was reading Jordon's blog a while ago and he was mentioning his late night walks accompanied by the Message on mp3. I thought it was a great idea but forgot about it until I was Christmas shopping for a bible in Saskatoon's Canadian Bible Society. I have a high opinion of the crew over at that store and I like to get in there an poke around a bit. Anyway, I got the b.i.b.l.e that my mom was asking for - and picked up the message on mp3 for 12 bucks. What a scoop.

Today I listened to Galatians a few times as I wandered over the bridges in Saskatoon.

All that to say I've been enjoying it. Much of the bible sounds great. It's conversational language - and to hear it spoken does something different for me. When I read it's with more of a critical/intellectual/studious sort of perspective. When I listen to it there's just a different tone.
