Had a great experience of doing a wedding for some very dear friends of mine this weekend. We were up in Big River for the wedding celebration of Wes and Marie Hutcheson. There was nothing but visiting - friends, old neighbors and good times.
20 years ago I lived in the town so there was a few conversations that surrounded that - my old scouts leader, some of my playmates mothers and the like.
I made a comment at the wedding supper that went to the tune of, 'I wonder if there's an age you get to when you suddenly begin to enjoy the dinner program'. It was a sarcastic comment for all you readers. Well, either I have officially come of age - or the minds and speaking ability of each speaker was more excellent than your average wedding. It was hilarious.
