church stuff

Had our annual meeting today. It was late in the year as we didn't have a treasurer to finish up our year end books.

Dave Pickering (a retired albeit very busy accountant from Moose Jaw) finished up our books and more or less did a complete overhaul on them. I don't know if I have enough kind words to speak of this man. I gave him a cold call letting him know about our situation and he did more for us than he knows.

This was the second annual church meeting I've ever been too. Outside of being a pastor I never went to a society/annual/all church meeting, which makes it interesting trying to lead one. There may be some advantages - probably some disadvantages to it as well.

It was short - factual - made room for discussion - on track... there were more pp. in attendance this year than the previous, so all in all I guess that's a good sign.
