I was watching a house for a lady in town - she was away for about a month and she just stopped in. Well, she gave me these incredible socks that her ninety seven year old friend had knit. They're made with variegated yarn - acrylic and wool - beautiful. The nicest socks I've ever seen. The only bad thing is that she gave them to me in front of Angela. The chances that I'll ever get to wear them now are fairly slim.
