Made it home from the Mountain. The weather was taxing - the first day's summit temp was more than 50 degrees below zero (celsius). Everyday thereafter was progressively warmer. However, the sun was out and the wind wasn't too extreme so everyone kept up their spirits. The snow coverage was good, and it's the slowest time of the year for most resorts so there was no line-ups at all...

We were cruising on the backside of the mountain - off to the far side of the summit and we ran across some big horn sheep. Although it's a recent expansion to the resort, and not heavily skiied, I've still never seen big horns on any runs I've ever rode... It was cool.

This weeks busy - two board meetings, a new year, more driving, and in the midst of that I'm kind of aching for some family time.

The hero's of our trip were definitely Dennis and Jo Ann Hodgins - a couple that live close to the lake. They volunteered their time to come, drive, and cook - and after my friend Thomas broke his collarbone (of course the other driver took a spill and was out of commission) Jo Ann drove the van 3 hours away from home until 1:00 this morning just to fill in for him.

The lows - well, temperatures and a broken collarbone...

The highs - everything else - tarzan rope at the Pincher Creek pool - awesome group of high school students - the food a la' the Hodgins...

It was a great trip.
