I saw the Return of the King - great show - yada yada
The thing I missed from the books was the closing scenes with Saruman and Wormtongue... A constant theme throughout the books was that of grace - Wormtongue was shown mercy at the halls of Theoden - and the mercy extended to Saruman at the close of the book was a finale that could've been included if there wasn't so many slow-mo good-bye's and crying with hobbits together...
I'll have to see it a few more times - and I am looking forward to the release of the trilogy on dvd. I think it'll be incredible to see back to back.
