lost my cell phone and was annoyed talking to the Rogers guys. It seemed like every different 2send communications store they'd give me different prices - or refuse me an offer that someone else made... waits of an hour or so just to talk to someone.
so I went and talked to the Sasktel guys. The service guy in the Regina store was on top of things - Kelly Burns. He was up on his product knowledge and very personable.
So I decided to call Rogers and see what they could offer me - saying that the Sasktel guys were giving me a good offer.
Well, that's all it took - the phone staff that you talk to with Rogers are tremendous. Making ridiculous deals - great price plans - whatever it takes. I was impressed. However, it would pay for them to have some sort of standardization between their level of customer service in their stores, and their telephone hq...
Before talking to the phone guys - I was ready to buy out my plan and head to Sasktel - I know I won't step foot in another 2sends store unless I have to.
They gave me two new color phones for the price of what they were originally offering me for a refurbished model of my old phone.
And for the price of my old plan - they added the second phone on with similar minutes - making it a family plan. Free calling between the two phones.
If you have problems with Rogers - or want to try your luck - let them know you're thinking of trying Sasktel.
When I was in retail at Outter Limits - my manager Cynthia was great about letting you do what it took to give great customer service. That's how it should be.
