The Skinny
Well today was our second service here in Avonlea. It's good to get used to the rythym and nature of this community. Angie and I both really like the church - super accomodating people. I started a series on Ecclesiastes today - looking forward to the next few weeks as we wade through the book together.
A friend of mine just moved to Regina a couple weeks before we arrived here - Filip Palasz - we had him out last night - he came to church today and all that. Love that guy and Bennet digs hanging with him too.
Finding out that Avonlea likes to party. Both friday and saturday night were loud nights here. Didn't expect it - but it seems they like to get their rock and roll on. I find everything interesting - I'm trying to absorb where everybody is at. Get an idea of their lifestyles and whatnot.
Hoping for snow this winter - it'd be fun to be here and just get a ton of snow for our first winter.
Anyway - some random thoughts - I find my mind is still reeling in a way from our summer and everything that's been going on. Been looking into high-speed for the area, unfortunately, Avonlea is not equipped with it - I've been encouraging sasktel to get with it, but they pushed back their schedule for smaller communities already this summer.............
Lot's of food coming our way - we've had more meals brought to us in the last little while than I can ever remember - I've been chowing down though - it's incredible.
